Visitor Information
- All visitors must schedule a visit or call ahead to ensure your visit can be accommodated.
- To keep all youth safe, visitors are required to sign in and agree to maintain confidentiality of all matters and persons.
- All visitors must be pre-approved by the legal guardian prior to the visit. Anyone under the age of 18 must be related to the resident in order to visit and be pre-approved by the legal guardian.
- Visits are set for 30 minutes and may be shortened if requested by a staff member. If a longer visit is necessary or beneficial, please speak with your case manager in advance for approval.
- Visits are not allowed during meals, study hours, chores, groups, meetings, or sleep hours.
- Visits that include more than two visitors must be pre-approved by your case manager or the supervisor prior to the visit.
- Visitors must remain on designated property at all times during the visit. Permission may be obtained by staff to go outside (on the property), including use of the basketball/volleyball area. All visitors must remain together. If there are other accommodations that will be beneficial during the visit (such as board games or other activities), please speak with your case manager prior to the visit.
- Cell phone use during visits must meet the purpose of the visits: to maintain appropriate communication with family and other approved contacts and build supportive relationships.
- Outside food and beverages are not recommended during visits. If it is necessary or beneficial, permission must be obtained from a case manager or supervisor prior to the visit. In addition, it must be store-bought and sealed when it is brought in and consumed during the visit.
- Visitors and youth must clean up the visitation area at the end of the visit. Please pick up any trash, remove belongings, and notify staff if further cleaning is needed.
- The youth crisis center is a non-smoking facility. There is no smoking or vaping in the building or on the property, including the parking lot. Visitors are not permitted to smoke/vape during visits.
- Staff may ask visitors to leave at any time for failure to follow these guidelines or failure to use visits in a constructive or supportive manner. Visitors may not be able to return for visits if there are ongoing concerns.
